We had a wonderful week working with the youth and adults of Catholic Heart Work Camp, and got amazing work done on the Memorial Garden at Christ Lutheran Church! Our dream is to make this contemplative garden next to our pantry vegetable garden available to everyone in our community who needs it.
We need a bit of help finishing up. If you can help in any way, please join us.
We're having a work party on Friday and/or Saturday, July 25/26 from about 8:30AM till about 3PM to pour concrete for the marble memorial stone to stand on. If woodwork is your specialty, there is finishing work to be done on a repurposed church pew in memory of Hermann Englehart that will be part of the memorial garden. Lunch will be provided.
The Labyrinth got a great start, and should be fun to finish. We need more rocks for the walkway: flat slate-type stone max 2" thick, 6-18" across, any shape. We have some available and need help bringing it, but if you have any you'd like to contribute, please share. Then, we'll puzzle the rocks together for the labyrinth walkway. Some of us will be there Tuesday mornings 7-9.
If the weather is questionable either day, watch our Facebook page to see if we're rescheduling.
