Luke's account of Jesus' temptations. In Jesus' weakest moment, 1) Satan questions Jesus' identity. We are all people created in God's image - if you ever feel like you need something more to more acceptable to God it's a lie. 2) Satan offers Jesus the world. We all belong in God's kingdom - we don't need more power (or more stuff), but we sometimes contribute (individually and communally) to inequality in this beautiful kingdom. 3) Satan tests God's power. The Lord is the greatest, and no one of us people shines brighter in God's eyes than another.
