In this account of Jesus' encounter with an evil spirit in the synagogue, the spirit calls out to Jesus with a question. Jesus immediately silences it, and does not allow the spirit to call his authority into question. In the same way, Jesus silences evil name calling in us. The real truth is: we are called beloved children of God, no less, and any other name is - well - twisted.
