This story in John seems like bad news. The challenges seem insurmountable. Death seems imminent. But just read the other stories. Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14 tells a vision of an Ancient One who will be king for all peoples and can't be destroyed. The book of Revelation tells a vision of grace, peace, freedom, glory from beginning to end (1:4-8). Maybe when all the news just feels bad that's because we aren't hearing the whole story. Listen!
