It seems that the old world order is broken. The world seems to be in chaos! But, remember, chaos was where the world began (Genesis 1:1). Lent, beginning with Ash Wednesday, is a time to bring our broken pieces to God and see what beautiful tapestry God creates out of the mess. Btw, it's not the first time the world order has been upset.
