At Jesus' baptism and at his transfiguration, God affirms: "This is my Son... with him I am well pleased." This one is a bit different, though. It adds, "Listen to him." Are you? What transformation does Jesus want from you? Are you ready for it? A lot of us would like to stay on the "mountaintop", and avoid the fights the crowds are in down below, but that's not what God has called the church to. When we separate ourselves, we all suffer. When the light of Epiphany shines on our lives, what dust and cobwebs does it show up? We need to meet at the font of Christ so that we all can be healed.
