The prophet Jeremiah received a difficult message for a difficult day. (Sometimes we have difficult days.) But read all the way to the end: God hears our prayers, God supports us in the difficult days in so many ways. One of the most offered statements in the Bible is, "Do not be afraid." Because the last word of Jeremiah's message (for today) is, "For [the Lord] has delivered..."
