Jesus teaches if we welcome, we will receive welcome; if we give a cup of cold water to someone who needs it, we will be refreshing. Maybe our liberty comes in giving freedom to those around us. Maybe God blesses America most when we bless others. You know the words to O Beautiful for Spacious Skies, right? Look at the end of verse 3: "America! America! God mend thy every flaw, confirm thy soul in self-control, thy liberty in law."
