This is the story of God's call for the prophet Isaiah, which comes at a time of political unrest and division. First, we go through the purification process, moving with Isaiah from unworthy to cleansed and called by God. Then, we hear the message he is called to: people are going to be blind and deaf to God's message you speak. But that's OK, because it's God's message of turning, and healing, and life. By speaking it, we call it into being.
