Jeremiah 18:1-11 as it talks to Philemon 1-21 as it talks to Luke 14:25-33; don't forget Psalm 139. God is our comforter, but also stirs us up to growth and action. That's how God relates with us, the children, followers, learners. Paul's question to Philemon is who owns whom, then Luke asks us to give up everything we own, and everyone we love, for Christ. For what? For life! God gives us the opportunity to give up whatever tangles us up in destruction in order to live life for the kingdom of God. What an offer!
