Would you rather swim with sharks? or dolphins? In Jesus' parable, the rich man (who remains nameless) was so consumed by his wealth that he didn't even notice the poor man, Lazarus, outside his gate. It took death for him to see Lazarus' value. Challenge yourself to see the gifts of others, and value others as part of God's mission on earth. Jesus promises if we lose our lives for Christ, we will gain "life that really is life." (1 Timothy 6:19)
