People are pretty much the same throughout history. We still deceive and hurt each other, as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph and his siblings did. But God always came back with grace, and more grace for each of them - as for us today. If we can take the harm that has happened and turn it around 180 degrees, the use the eyes of grace, it can turn to good. Instead of holding the evil in the world against God, we can depend on God, who promises to hold us up through the difficulties.
