We often find Jesus in Bible stories in forgotten places, empowering poor and sick people to take up their bed and walk. When they want to make him king (so he can do the cooking every day), he isn't interested. Jesus wants us to be trained, practiced and fit, to dream the kingdom of God we want to see in the world. People might not care about Carlos Eloy Andrade, a blind beggar in a faraway village, but God does. And God gives us the power to love and value Don Carlos.
